La Plage by La Maison Ani

La Plage by La Maison Ani, formerly Maison de la Plage, is Chef Izu Ani's beach house on Palm West Beach, Palm Jumeirah. The new name links it more closely to his La Maison Ani restaurant, and the look is pure Côte d'Azur, styled with souvenirs from the chef's travels. Days move easily between the beach, the pool and the lounge. Beach sunbeds come with soft linens and service all day, double sunbeds are made for two, and private cabanas give small groups their own shaded spot with a double sunbed and dedicated service. The kitchen does relaxed French-Mediterranean food, with La Maison Ani favourites like Salad Niçoise, escargot in garlic butter and the Izu Burger, plus dishes for sharing by the sea. Lunch is chic and easy, and the energy builds as the evening goes on. On Tuesdays, ladies get a sunbed, three glasses of white or rosé and a dish for AED 150. It's a great pick for long lunches and anyone who likes their beach day built around good food. Kids are welcome in the restaurant all week, while the beach is adults only from Friday to Sunday. The beach is open from noon until sunset and the restaurant, lounge and pool from noon to 11pm. Weekday sunbeds start at AED 200, half of it redeemable on food and drinks.
